MPHS swept Keokuk in Southeast Conference baseball last night 8-4 and 7-4. Braden Shull started the first game and was relieved by Cam Engberg with the score tied 4-4. Korbin Taylor hit a home run and had three RBI’ – ‘s to lead the offense. In the second game Henry Krieger Coble pitched the win with help from Connor Shull and Cam Engberg. Krieger-Coble hit a grand slam homer and had five RBI’ – ‘s to support his pitching effort.
M.P. was scheduled to play Burlington at Community Field tonight but that game has been cancelled because Burlington has an important conference make up game with Davenport Assumption.
Danville defeated Tri County 1-0 in the Class 1A Regional semi final softball game in Ottumwa last night and now are just one win away from going to state. They will play the winner of the Lynnville Sully vs Melcher Dallas game that was postponed till tonight because of rain. The Regional final will be at Eldon, the IGHSAU made that change late Monday night, the game was originally scheduled to be played at Pella Christian.
