The Tigers received 13 points in the poll of league coaches, putting them just ahead of Waldorf College (11 points). IWC has finished seventh in the MSFA Midwest League the past two years, including a 1-6 league mark last year (2-9 overall). Defending league champion McKendree (Ill.) University was picked to again win, emerging from a close vote among the top five teams. William Penn University was fourth with 41 points, while Quincy (Ill.) University picked up the other first-place vote and was fifth overall with 38 points. The University of St. Francis (Ill.) is just ahead of Wesleyan in the poll in sixth with 30 points.
