The WACO school board met Monday evening. Items on the agenda included a petition presented in support of a long-time bus driver in an effort to save the driver’s job.
The driver was fired after a student was left on her bus. The board considered the petition but voted 5-0 NOT to reinstate driver Doris Sinn-Hesseltine.
In other business the board voted 5-0 to continue the shared superintendant arrangement with Winfield-Mt. Union.
The WACO board has also decided to continue sharing middle school and high school baseball programs with Winfield-Mt. Union.
The recent audit was approved by the board with special recognition to Carrie Coble for her hard work during the audit.
