Absentee Balloting Begins Monday

Written by on June 24, 2011 in News

Monday absentee voting begins for the August 2 supervisor district vote. Henry County residents may go to the auditor’s office on the second floor of the court house to cast their ballots. The office is open Monday thru Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. There will be three choices on the ballot. If citizens wish to retain the current at large system where every voter votes for each supervisor and the candidates may live anywhere in the county they must vote option one. Option two calls for the vote for the supervisor seats to still be at large meaning all voters vote for all three candidates but the county would be divided into three districts and each district must be represented by a candidate. Option three calls for three districts with each represented by a candidate and that candidate is only voted for by the residents of that district. If you have any questions about what each options means, contact the auditor’s office.
