Ottumwa Man Charged in Stabbing, Burlington Man Setenced For Escaping

An eighteen year old Ottumwa man is behind bars and facing charges in a fatal stabbing of 34 year old Andy Madren on Sunday afternoon.  Brandon Seim is currently being held in Wapello County Jail.  No further information is available at this time.

And a former inmate of the Burlington Halfway House has been sentenced for escaping.  35 year old Anthony Walls was sentenced to five years after he plead guilty last Monday.  A month after moving into the facility, he left without permission.  He was later located the next month.
