The first month of 2012 was a warm month with little precipitation to report. The warmest day was January 30th when the record high of 68 degrees was tied, it was first set in 1988. The average high temperature for the month was 38.5 degrees. The coldest reading was 2 degrees on the 18th and 19th, the average low for the month was 17 degrees. Not much snow was reported, 3.5 inches fell and we had just over a half inch of rain and water content. Now we wait to see what happens on Thursday groundhogs day. Will there be six more weeks of winter? Well if it’s winter like we have had so far that won’t be such a bad deal.
