Since the Henry County Supervisors made the decision to close the Henry County Care Facility, Insight Human Services, the facility operator has been making plans to go private. Insight director Todd Meyer has formed Insight Partnership LLC naming himself CEO and Evan Clouse president of the new partnership’s board of directors. Insight partnership plans to privately provide the same services to the facility residents who are all moving out into homes in the community. Meyer updated the supervisors this morning on the plans. The adult daycare program currently located at the facility will move to a building on east Washington street where insight partnership plans to locate administrative offices. Meyer said they are waiting on approval from the state to move the adult daycare and are in the middle of the accreditation process. He also told the supervisors he should hear today about loan approval. Three of the current employees will not continue with insight. Meyer and Clouse are ready to make employment offers to the rest and then will still need to hire others. If everything would quickly fall into place they would like to be out of the county’s building April 1. Meyer also submitted to the supervisors a list of equipment he would like to buy from the county with suggested prices. There will still be a lot of items to dispose of however, the supervisors don’t know yet how that will happen.
The supervisors completed paperwork associated with the Crossroads industrial Park. They approved the notice of hearing and letting of bids for the storm water detention basin for the area. The public hearing and bid letting will be March 1 at 10 am. The storm water discharge permit for the DNR was signed and finally they authorized board chair Kent White to sign the purchase agreement for sale of a lot in the subdivision to Community First Credit Union. The subdivision will be filed Monday and plans are to close on the sale by February 9. Community First is holding a ground breaking ceremony for February 10.
