May 1 the Henry County Care Facility always known in years past as the County Home, will close it’s doors. The supervisors have managed to keep the facility going but over the last two years have decided it’s not fiscally responsible to do so any longer. And the operation no longer works within the mental health care delivery system. The facility has been under the operation of Insight Human Services. Insight will continue operation as a private provider. All but five current employees will move with Insight. In addition Meyer and his partners have hired 17 others bringing the total employees to 45 when Insight is up and running on it’s own. Meyer assured the supervisors this morning that the clients all had quality homes in the Mt. Pleasant community to move into.
