The Iowa State Patrol said this afternoon it will be mid day Friday before any new information is released regarding the domestic dispute turned fatal in Olds Wednesday. The Iowa State Patrol had not released the name of the man who was found dead or the name of the woman who was injured late yesterday afternoon. Special agent Jeff Uhlmeyer said the autopsy has not yet been completed. At about 4:30 pm Henry County Sheriff’s office and the State Patrol were responded to a 911 call reporting a fight between a man and a woman at 201 South Smith Street in Olds. The female occupant of the home told officers she had been assaulted by her husband. Officers then found the man dead on the kitchen floor. The woman was taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation along with the Sheriff’s office and the state patrol is conducting an investigation into what they are calling a domestic dispute. The names of the two people involved will be released when family members are notified. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
