Prottsman Taking Over Rural Waste

Beginning April 30, Mike Prottsman Sanitation will take over management of the rural waste and recyclable collection. Henry County rural residents will not see a lot of changes. The four sites around the county will be open on the same days from 10 am to 6 pm. The main site will still be located at 900 West Washington in Mt. Pleasant Fridays 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to noon. The following recyclables may be collected co mingled…one thru seven plastic, newspaper, magazine and office waste, tin and aluminum cans, clear glass and cardboard. The main site only will take scrap metal, appliances, used oil,lead acid batteries, tires, sharps, cooled ashes and electronic waste. Not construction waste will be taken. Rural residents should be aware of one important change…photo i.d. will be required.
