Keith Crile age 77 of Fairfield died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the
Mercy Hospice Care Unit at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Keith was born September 7, 1934 in Fairfield, the son of
Andrew Peter and Dorothy Augusta Pohren Crile,
A lifetime resident of the Salina community, he attended Union No. 1 northeast of Salina. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953.
He was a farmer and drove school bus for Fairfield Schools for over 30 years.
He was a seed dealer for Pioneer and Northrup King, worked at Parsons College and drove for Burlington Trailways .
Keith married Rose Ann Anderson on August 28, 1955 at the Clara Lutheran Church at Salina. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2012.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, Wayland Tractor Club and
served 8 years in the Iowa National Guard with the 224th Engineers
Deceased family members include his wife, his parents and 2 sisters in infancy.
Surviving are his 2 sons and families: Jeff and Jeri Crile and their children
Jenna and Jeremy ; Steve and Tiffany Crile and their children Alex, Carson and Jolie
all of Fairfield; 3 sisters Lois Brokken and Loretta ( Wayne ) Diers, all of Fairfield and
Betty ( Jack ) Jacobs of Burlington.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield
With Pastor Stacy Grau officiating.
Interment will be in the Salina Cemetery at Salina.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the
Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
