ANNUAL HARVEST RALLY AND FALL PICNIC OF THE HENRY COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY

The Henry County Democratic Party will hold its annual Harvest Rally and Fall picnic Saturday, September 29th from 4 – 6 PM at the Old Threshers Grounds, Museum B in Mt. Pleasant.

This event is held to support Democratic candidates and to discuss public policy issues central to the November 6th election.

Senator Tom Harkin and Congressman Dave Loebsack will be the featured speakers. State Senate candidate Rich Taylor will address the gathering as will Kurt Garretson, candidate for Henry County Supervisor. County Chairman, Dave Helman, will review the public policy distinctions between Democrats and Republicans on the key issue of Social Security and Medicare.

State Senators Eugene Fraise and Tom Courtney will be honored for their service to the public.

A full picnic meal will be served. Tickets may be purchased at the Democratic Office at 124 North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant or at the door. Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 4-14 with no charge to those 3 and under.
