Author and Professor to Speak at IWC

This week’s IWC Forum program will focus on Human Resiliency and Issues of Race.  Dr. Steven Farrelly-Jackson, the associate professor of philosophy at Allegheny College will present the program tomorrow morning beginning at 11 am at IWC.  It will be held in the Chapel Auditorium and is open to the public.  Farrelly-Jackson grew up in Zimbabwe, attended the University of Cape Town and has a doctorate from Oxford University.  His historical novel “Out of the Valley” is based in Africa and is based on his life experiences, exploring the themes of racial oppression and the resilience of the human spirit.  The program is sponsored by the Haselmayer Endowment for the Arts.
