There are still spots open for the Medicare Part D Check Up event that will be held Tuesday in the RSVP Office inside of HCHC. As we’ve previously reported, the event will run from 8 am to 4 pm. According to Director Karen Bates-Chabel, there are still several slots open in the afternoon. The Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Open Enrollment period runs through December 7th. This gives Medicare-covered individuals the chance to review their plan coverage and make changes that could be beneficial to them. Plans change and certain medications may no longer be covered so this a great event to find the plan that is a good fit for the individual. This is also a good event if you are nearing the time in which you will be enroll in Medicare. The event is by pre-registration only. Appointments can be made by calling SHIIP voicemail at 385-6739.
