Written by on November 2, 2012 in News

Governor Branstad has signed a disaster emergency proclamation that allows the transportation of oversized and overweight loads.  This allowance is for transportation of soybeans, corn, hay, straw, silage and stove.  It will go in effect starting tomorrow and will expire after 15 days and applies to loads transported on all highways within Iowa.  They should not exceed a maximum of 90,000 pounds gross weight and drivers must still comply with posted limits on roads and bridges.
