The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of aDonnellsonmanfelony and misdemeanor drug charges.

John Steven Value, 49,1500 245th Avenue, Donnellson, wasarrested on November 16that his residence.Value faces charges of Manufacture of Methamphetamine in Excess of Five Grams While in Possession of a Firearm, a class B felony with enhancements, Maintaining a Drug House, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

If convicted, Value faces up to 52years and 30 days in a state correctional facility.

Thearrest of Value stems from aninvestigation into allegations that Value was in possession of stolen property.During the service a search warrant for stolen property, items indicative to the manufacture of methamphetamine were found. An additional search warrant was obtained and items that support the charges were found.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa State Patroland the Lee County Sheriff’s Officeassisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Forcein this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
