The Iowa Wesleyan College Tiger men’s basketball team pounced on the Eagles of Emmaus Bible College, getting the 87-43 victory on Monday night as the Tigers returned home to Ruble Arena after their weekend in Colorado. Jon Umoren (Sr.-DeKalb, Ill.) set a new Tigers’ single game school record with 16 assists in the win.
The Tigers held a 40-24 halftime lead.
The Tigers had four score in double figures, led by Derrick Nillissen’s (Sr.-Wittenberg, Wis.) 14 points, Kyle Warner (Sr.-Gresham, Ore.), Bruce Brooks (Kansas City, Kan.), and Will Stephenson (Fr.-Chicago, Ill.) each added 12 points for the Tigers.
The Tigers head to Kenosha, Wis. to take part in the Carthage Classic this coming weekend, Nov. 23-24.

Mt. Pleasant Middle School wrestlers were in action yesterday against Burlington and Ft. Madison. Here are your match winners: Garrett Detrick (2), Bryce Fraise, Dalton Smith, Levi Parkevich, Jaymie Peterson, John Rose (2), and Dalton Shull.

The MPHS girls basketball team opens up their 2012-2013 season on the road at Muscatine tonight. MPHS is coming off a scrimmage game last Friday night against a strong Williamsburg team.
Muscatine opened up their regular season Saturday night with a 64-43 win over Cedar Rapids Prairie.
KILJ-FM 105.5 and kilj.com will carry tonight’s game live on the air beginning at 7:30 p.m.
