Carol E. Tubridy of Winfield, Iowa formerly of Chicago and Morton Grove, Illinois, died December 18, 2012 at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born November 15, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Carlo and Emma Paoli. She married Robert Paul Sarver in January of 1955. He passed away in 1967. She later married and separated from Michael Tubridy.
Carol graduated from Chicago Waller High School in 1954 as Salutatorian of her class and worked for the Chicago Sun Times newspaper in the accounting department. For the greater part of her life she was a homemaker who took good care of her family. She loved to watch the birds come to her feeders and she was an avid fan of her beloved Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Sarver (Serena) of Grayslake, Illinois and Bob Sarver (Cindy) of Trenton, Iowa; one sister Vivian Duda (Pablo) of Morton Grove, Illinois; and two brothers, Barry Paoli of Park Ridge, Illinois, and Carlo Paoli Jr. of Palm Springs, California. She also had three grandchildren; Jessica, Bobby, and Nicole.
Carol has donated her body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine for study so there will be no visitation or funeral. A memorial service is planned for Saturday December 22, 2012 at 11 am at the Trenton Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for The Multiple Sclerosis Society under the Carol Paoli-Sarver Fund.
