MPCSD Board of Education Special Session Tonight

Written by on January 21, 2013 in News

The process begins for the hiring of a new Superintendant.  Last week, Dr. John Roeder announced his retirement after many years as Superintendent of Schools for the Mt. Pleasant District.  Now, the plan of action for selecting the new Superintendant begins.  The Board of Education will gather at 5:30 pm this evening in their District Offices to interview Professional Search Firms to assist with the hiring of a Superintendant.  They will make their selection of the firm this night as well.  They will also announce their decision for the new High School Football Coach.  It will be Shawn Striegel, a teacher and coach in the district.  Before that, the Board will have a work session special meeting to go over the School District Grounds and Facilities, planning for the future.  That begins at 5 pm.
