Written by on January 10, 2013 in News

Last Thursday the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a 13-year-old runaway from Salem.  A few days later, the teen was found near Kansas City, Missouri accompanied by 19-year-old Keith Davis-Sauer of rural Ottumwa.  The child has since been returned to Salem and Davis-Sauer was taken into custody from the Platte County Jail and has been transported back to Henry County into the Sheriff’s Office custody for the offense of “Harboring a Runaway Child,” an aggravated misdemeanor.  He was already a suspect for another investigation in the county and has already been charged with two counts of sexual abuse- 3rd degree.  This is a class D felony.
