Give daffodils and give hope. You can help fight cancer by placing your daffodil order today. Henry County residents have until February 15th to place their order for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days. Order flowers for a friend, customer, employee, even yourself. Proceeds help the American Cancer Society offer free programs and services that save lives. Programs prevent or detect cancer early, help them during and after a diagnosis, find cures by investing in groundbreaking research and fight back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws. They rally communities worldwide to fight this disease. Make a minimum $10 donation to the American Cancer Society and you will receive a bouquet of daffodils. For a $25 donation to the Gift of Hope program, they will anonymously deliver a bouquet arrange in a vase to area cancer patients. Also this year Ray O’Hope, a special Boyds Bear designed exclusively for Daffodils Day “Bear and a Bunch” can be ordered for a donation of $25. Proud sponsor of the event is City Carton. Orders are now being taken. To place your order contact Cindy Shumaker at 931-1882 or go to cancer.org/daffodils. Flowers will arrive the week of March 11th.
