Duarte Furtado Medeiros, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel, New London. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Inurnment of his cremains will follow the service at Burge Cemetery, rural New London. A memorial has been established.
