The Mt. Pleasant Panther wrestling team grapples at home tonight against Fairfield, M.P. is coming off a conference dual loss to Washington last Thursday and will after tonight’s dual go to the Williamsburg Tournament Saturday.

The MPHS girls and boys bowling teams bowl at Ottumwa today, this match was rescheduled after being weathered out in December.
The Iowa Wesleyan College women’s basketball team struggled to control the ball on Wednesday night as they faced the AIB Eagles. The Tigers, turned the ball over 26 times during the game, causing them to fall to the Eagles 55-43. The loss drops the Tigers to 5-13 on the year.
Ashley Kruse (SR.-Lakefield, Minn.) led the Tigers once again, scoring 17 points on the night. Kruse was 4-of-10 from the field and shot 9-for-13 from the free throw line.
Stephanie Russak (JR.-Denver, Co.) added 11 points for the Tigers, hitting 4-of-10 from the field as well.
The Tigers look to bounce back from the loss as they head to MacMurray College on Saturday, Jan. 19. The women’s game is set to tip off at 3:00pm and will follow the men’s game.
The IWC men’s basketball team snapped a five-game losing streak on Wednesday night as they defeated the AIB Eagles in Ruble Arena74-60 . The Tigers are now 8-12 for the season.
Wesleyan used a great team effort to get the win as four Tigers scored in double figures. Kyle Warner (SR.-Gresham, OR) had a game-high 20 points. Warner shot 6-of-10 from the field and was 7-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Joe Evans (SR.-Jackson, TN) added 16 points and pulled down six boards.
The IWC men return to action on Saturday, Jan. 19 as they head to MacMurray College. Tip-off is set for 1:00pm in Jacksonville, Ill.
The SCC men’s basketball team defeated Marshalltown Community College 73-69 in West Burlington last night. Nick Lyon scored 5 points.
The SCC women beat NIACC 58-55 in Keokuk.
The Iowa State Cyclone men scored with two seconds remaining in the game to beat West Virginia in Ames last night 69-67.

Due to overwhelming response by drivers and fans, 34 Raceway will once again host a 2 day Car Show at Westland Mall, West Burlington, March 16 and 17.
Thanks to some gracious drivers and sponsors, along with 34 Raceway,
there will be no charge to enter your car in the 34 Raceway/Midwest Performance and Power 2013 Car Show. Although the car show is free to all 34 Raceway drivers, pre-registration to compete at 34 Raceway will be required as it has in the past. Because space is limited to 50 cars pre-registration is urged.
The Whitey’s Bar & Billiards/34 Raceway Kick off Party will be held Saturday night March 16 of the same weekend.
