In college wrestling tonight the 10-0 Iowa Hawkeye wrestlers host the 6-0 Ohio State Buckeyes tonight in Carver Hawkeye Arena at 7 p.m.

Tonight the MPHS boy’s basketball team will put their 5-2 record on the line as they play at Washington who has a 1-7 record. The Demons have beaten Durant in non-conference action and lost in the league to Fairfield, Keokuk and Ft. Madison all teams that MPHS has wins over. KILJ-FM will carry the game live while the girl’s teams of the two schools play in Panther Gymnasium we will give score updates on that action. The Washington girls are 8-2 and are 3-0 in the conference.

Saturday KILJ-FM will broadcast the Iowa Wesleyan College women 4-12 hosting Viterbo at 1 p.m. KILJ-FM will carry the game live, we will bring you the Central Lee vs MPHS boy’s basketball game from Panther Gymnasium at 4:30 p.m.

The following schedule changes have been made by Bob Jensen Activities Director at Mt. Pleasant Community High School:

1) The Varsity Girls & Boys Basketball games that were postponed on Dec. 20th have been rescheduled for February 5th at 6:00 p.m. at MPCHS

2) The 9th grade girls basketball game from Friday, January 4th has been postponed to Monday, January 7th at 6:30 p.m. at MPCHS

3) The 9th grade girls basketball games have been postponed from Friday, January 11th, to Monday January 28th at 7:00 p.m. at MPCHS

4) The JV/V girls & boys bowling meet vs.Ottumwa that was postponed on December 20th has been rescheduled for January 17th at 2:30 p.m. (same time as originally scheduled).

The Iowa Hawkeye women’s basketball team beat #24 Ohio State last night 77-71 in overtime.

Oregon beat Kansas State 35-17 in the Fiesta Bowl last night. Tonight the Cotton Bowl has Texas A&M playing Oklahoma.
