The following schedule changes have been made for tonight’s Mt. Pleasant at Ottumwa boys basketball triple header. The 9th grade and JV games will be played at the same time in separate gyms at Evans Middle School at 5:30 p.m., and the varsity game will follow at the same site at 7:00 p.m. KILJ-FM and kilj.com will broadcast the varsity game live and give you updates on the Ottumwa at Mt. Pleasant girls action.
The MPHS Panther girls are hosting Ottumwa, there will be no freshman girls’ basketball today at 4:45 p.m. The first game will be a JV game at 6:15 p.m. with the varsity girls’ game to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
The Southeast Iowa Super conference super Shootout for girls was played Friday night, #7 ranked class 3A Mediapolis playing at #3 ranked class 1A Burlington Notre Dame. The Bullettes improved their record to 20-1 with an easy 74-40 win over the 18-3 Nikes.
Mepo jumped out to a big 21-8 lead after one quarter and never was threatened. Leading the Mediapolis scoring was Aubrey Siegel with 17 points, and Haley Hillyard added 15. Notre Dame was led by Taylor Hickey with 12 and Morgan Meyers with 10 points.

Waco will send one wrestler to the Class 1A District at Tipton this Saturday, Cey Saeugling at 160 lbs. was a Sectional champion this past Saturday at Marengo.
New London/Winfield Mt. Union competed in the 2A Sectional at Mediapolis, they had 2 wrestlers advance onto the District this Saturday at West Liberty, Kyle Davis runner up at 220 pounds and Avery Jacobs was the champion at 285 lbs.
Mediapolis rolled to the team championship at the 2A Sectional they hosted with 289 points. They advanced 13 of their 14 wrestlers to the District at West Liberty Saturday and also will host the Regional Team dual Meet Championship matches tomorrow night. Mediapolis will wrestle Williamsburg at 6 p.m. along with Albia wrestling Washington. The winners will then battle to see who advances on tot he State Team Dual Meet Championships at Wells Fargo Arena is Des Moines on Wednesday February 13th.
Mt. Pleasant will host a 3A District on Saturday February 9th with the following schools competing with the Panthers: Burlington, Ft. Madison, Iowa City City High, Iowa City West, Keokuk, Oskaloosa and Ottumwa. Here is a list of the ranked wrestlers:

The MPHS bowling teams hosted Keokuk Saturday. Keokuk won the girls match 2579 to 2386, high roller for M.P. was Chelsea Sammons with a 349 series.
Mt. Plesant won the boy’s match 2819-2532, high roller for the home team was Daniel Ruth with a 394.
The Varsity Girls & Boys Basketball games that were postponed on Dec. 20th with West Liberty have been rescheduled for February 5th at 6:00 p.m. at MPCHS
The Iowa Wesleyan College Tigers have added a game to the schedule – they will host Lindenwood-Belleville University on Wednesday, Feb. 6th. Tip-off is set for 7:00pm in Ruble Arena.
Due to overwhelming response by drivers and fans, 34 Raceway will once again host a 2 day Car Show at Westland Mall, West Burlington, March 16 and 17.
Thanks to some gracious drivers and sponsors, along with 34 Raceway,
there will be no charge to enter your car in the 34 Raceway/Midwest Performance and Power 2013 Car Show. Although the car show is free to all 34 Raceway drivers, pre-registration to compete at 34 Raceway will be required as it has in the past. Because space is limited to 50 cars pre-registration is urged.
The Whitey’s Bar & Billiards/34 Raceway Kick off Party will be held Saturday night March 16 of the same weekend.

(1) IMCA Latemodel Event (4) 410 Sprint Car Events, (4) 360 Sprint Car Events, (15) 305 Sprint Car Events, (16) IMCA Modified Events, (18) IMCA Sport Mod Events, (22) IMCA Stock Car Events, (24) 4 Cylinder Events, (19) Mod Lite Events with a few special nights to be ironed out.
