Clarence Brecount, 65, of Primrose, Iowa, passed away at 6:46 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home.
Born December 4, 1947 in Fort Madison, Iowa the son of Clarence Ray Sr. and Elsie (Thomas) Brecount. On June 25, 2005 he married Sheila Kay Redden in Donnellson, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife Sheila, two sons Tony (June) Brecount and Clarence III Brecount, one daughter Amanda Oliver, two grandchildren Alora and Hunter Brecount, four sisters Nikki (Bob) Hogan, Becky (Kevin) Britton, Lori (Dave) Buford and Lisa Brecount, three brothers Steve (Shirley) Brecount, Tim (Georgia) Brecount and David Brecount, mother-in-law Vonnie Redden, three sister-in-laws Sharon Redden, Sandy Smith and Sheri Long, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Linda Brecount and nephew Zach Bevier.
Clarence retired from the factory maintenance department at the Burrows Paper Corporation in Fort Madison, Iowa after numerous years of service. Prior to his work at Burrows he had worked for Ortho in Fort Madison, Iowa. He was a lifetime member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. Clarence also enjoyed woodworking.
Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa. Where the family will meet with friends from 10:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa with Pastor Bill Willis officiating.
Burial will be at the Embury Cemetery rural Donnellson, Iowa with full military rites presented by the Donnellson American Legion Post #474.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
