Arrests Made in Connection With Thefts

Over the course of the last two months, the Henry County Sheriff’s office has been investigating fuel thefts at three separate locations and a recent residential burglary. The fuel thefts have occurred at Agri-Center in Mt. Pleasant, another at a residence in the 2300 grid of Hwy 34 and another at the residence in the 1400 grid of 255th Street. A residential burglary had also occurred in the 1200 grid of Ash Avenue. A search warrant was executed March 5th at 314 N. Jay St. in Mt. Pleasant. Stolen property and tools used to commit the thefts were seized. As a result of this investigation, Todd Riley, 18, of Crawfordsville was charged with third degree burglary, second degree theft and three counts of third theft. 23 year old Jacob Schroeder of Mt. Pleasant was charged with second degree theft, possession stolen property and two counts of third degree theft. Further charges are pending. The Henry County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Police.
