The body found Wednesday morning in the Mississippi River has been identified as that of Teresa Ilene Bruegge of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Fairfield. The Hancock County Sheriff’s office was notified at about 3:15 that a body had been discovered north of Hamilton, Illinois. Preliminary autopsy results indicate cause of death was drowning. Henry County Sheriff Rich McNamee said no foul play is suspected. Bruegge was reported missing February 15 shortly after her vehicle was located at Faulkner’s access on the Skunk River near Oakland Mills. The Henry County Sheriff’s office has been investigating her missing person case since that time.
