Mt. Pleasant and New London firefighters responded to a house fire south of the Mt. Pleasant airport at about 2 am Thursday. The cause of the blaze that destroyed Shane McKenzie’s home is under investigation. The farmhouse at 2704 Logan Ave was totally engulfed when the Mt. Pleasant fire department arrived. Crews remained on the scene until about 5 am.
