MOUNT PLEASANT—Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance executive Kiley Miller has joined the board of directors of the Professional Developers of Iowa.
Formed in 1973, PDI has more than 300 members from a variety of development disciplines all committed to growing and strengthening Iowa’s economic base.
“’We are proud to have Kiley join the board,” said Brent Willett, PDI President. “He has demonstrated tremendous leadership in his community and region and we are fortunate to be able to tap his talents as a member of our leadership team.”
Miller, a Mount Pleasant native, is entering his fifth year with the Chamber Alliance. During his tenure, the Mount Pleasant Area Development Commission has successfully recruited one distribution company, one manufacturer, and multiple retail and service businesses. The commission has also assisted several local employers in creating or retaining more than 30 jobs. Miller has overseen the growth of the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce to more than 300 members.
“The Professional Developers of Iowa plays a valuable role in identifying best practices, building partnerships, and petitioning for policy changes to improve the Iowa economy and the economic development profession,” Miller said. “It is an honor to take a seat on the board.”
Miller graduated in March from the Oklahoma University-Economic Development Institute, a three-year professional improvement program certified by the International Economic Development Council.
