– Is your business prepared for the future of healthcare? How will the Affordable Care Act influence your future health insurance and healthcare? How will this legislation impact your business and employees? The Affordable Care Act is here. Some provisions have already been implemented, but most major provisions will be phased in by January 2014. Now is your opportunity to learn more about this legislation.

Whether you are a small business or a large corporation, it’s important to be prepared for these changes. Henry County Health Center, the Mt. Pleasant Area Human Resources Association, and the Mt. Pleasant Chamber Alliance are partnering to offer an important presentation on the Affordable Care Act for area businesses. Sign up now to attend the presentation on Friday, May 17, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Access Energy Conference Room. Dan Royer, Director of Health Care Policy for the Iowa Hospital Association, will identify and detail issues pertaining to employers and employees under the Affordable Care Act.

The presentation is designed for area businesses, and all businesses large and small are invited and encouraged to attend. The following people would find the presentation beneficial: business owners, company presidents and CEOs, human resources professionals, employee benefits and health coordinators, and CFOs and finance/business managers.

There is no fee for the presentation, but the cost for lunch is $5 per person. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 13, by calling the Chamber Office at 319-385-3101.
