Carol Nemitz to Retire

Written by on April 19, 2013 in News

“The essence of Iowa Wesleyan College”…That’s how college president Jay Simmons described Carol Nemitz when asked to comment on her announcement to retire from IWC. The college community learned Thursday afternoon that Nemitz plans to retire at the end of the academic year. Nemitz graduated from IWC and after leaving to teach she returned in 1963. Since then she has held almost every major position at the college. Mostly, she has served as Vice President and Dean of Student Life. But Nemitz has also been VP of Institutional Relations and Interim President.
