There is a lot of construction activity scheduled for the coming week on Grand Avenue. DeLong Construction’s dirt crew will continue to grade, place subdrain, engineering fabric and granular subbase between Baker St. and Mapleleaf Dr. DeLong Construction’s pipe crew will be crossing the Frontage Road Just South of Baker St. North of the Pizza Hut Driveway and at the South end of the Frontage Road just North of Mapleleaf Dr. Flaggers will be used to help the traffic get to the businesses during these construction phases. The pipe crew will continue the rest of the week laying the storm sewer along the North side of Mapleleaf Dr. crossing the Orscheln Driveway later in the week. Traffic can access Orscheln by using the Frontage Road while we are crossing the driveway. Mike Nelson Concrete will be mobilizing on May 1st to start setting string line and trimming for paving the west side of Grand Ave. from Baker St. South to Mapleleaf Dr. This first pour is scheduled during the week of May 6th. Mapleleaf Drive, Baker St. and Winfield Ave. intersections will remain open as well as the Frontage Road on the East side of Grand Ave. from Mapleleaf Dr. to Winfield Ave. The Frontage Road will only experience brief interruptions early in the week.
