HCHC Board Meeting

Construction at the Henry County Health Center surgical center continues to be on time and on budget according to a report given by Carl Nelson construction at the HCHC Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday. The new energy center is completed and operating smoothly. Interior demolition for other remodeling for the hospital is about complete and they look forward to the new elevator being installed by May 15th. Under old business a board of trustees education session as set for May 10th from 9 am till noon for the trustees. Under new business a new nurse call system will be purchased for approximately $268,000, from ASCOM, the present system is nearing end of life for technical support. A new 60 month lease for Toshiba resolution equipment in the Radiology Department was approved with an $8,000 per month savings. Positive feedback continues to come in for the new hospitalist program, an offer letter is out to a hospitalist candidate but has not been returned as of this time. The month of March was down on patient days, but a strong first two months of the year keep the health center on budget.
