Marna I. Carr, 90, of rural Keosauqua died at 12:45 A.M. Monday April 15, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren Hospice, Keosauqua.
She was born August 1, 1922 at Lowell to Charles and Annetta Jones Thornburg and married Orville L. Carr July 28, 1946 in Pulaski. He died February 20, 2000.
She lived most of her life in Van Buren County, was a farm homemaker and a member of Lowell Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 sons, Tommy Carr (Doris), Melvin Carr (Sharon), and Rex Carr (Nancy) all of Keosauqua, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 2 step grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, a brother, Dayton Thornburg (Janice) of New London and a sister Velva DeLong of New London.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Burton Thornburg and a daughter-in-law, Marcy Carr
Funeral Services 10:30 A.M. Wednesday. April 17, 2013 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Visitation will open at 2 P.M. Tuesday with the family present from 6-8. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
Gifts to a memorial designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 24342 170th St., Keosauqua, IA 52565.
