KILJ April Weather Summary

If the old saying holds true that April showers bring May flowers, we should be seeing quite a few flowers over the next 30 days. The KILJ Radio rain gauge had 7.25 inches of rain in April with 3.8 inches being recorded on the 18th as the most recorded in a 24 hour period. The rainfall contributed to some major flooding on streams and rivers. The warmest temperature was 85 degrees on the final day of the month. The average high was 59 degrees. The coolest temp was recorded on the 2nd day of the month at 18 degrees, the average low was 33.7.
