Some Roads Closed In Henry County

Written by on May 30, 2013 in News

Henry County Engineer Bill Belzer said this morning that there are some roads under water…the lower Oakland Mills Road, 208th Street north of Rome and east of the sandpit, and Henry Jefferson Avenue south of Merrimac. County crews are working today to repair places where Big Creek came up over some roads. Belzer said that waterway is coming down but the Skunk River continues to rise. He anticipates it will be early next week before his crews can fix damage from the flooding of the Skunk.
