A Mass of Christian Burial for James M. Wehr, 38 of rural Keota will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00PM at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Keota. Visitation will be held Friday, May 24 from 4-7PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with a prayer service at 7:00PM. A memorial fund has been established for the Keota QRS. James Matthew Wehr died suddenly Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

James Matthew Wehr was born January 12, 1975 in Washington, Iowa the son of Eugene “Gene” Richard and Linda Sue (Bond) Wehr. He attended Keota High School and worked as a hog farmer. He enjoyed farming, gardening, riding four wheelers and his pets.

Survivors include three sisters; Jackie (Dennis) Hinshaw of Richland, Iowa, Gena (Matt) Leyden of Columbus Junction, Iowa, Jeri (Aaron) Sieren of Keota, Iowa, one brother; Jason Wehr of Keota, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews and uncles and aunts.

Preceding Jim in death were his parents, grandparents, and one brother in law; Kerry Lyon.
