Detailed Info Regarding Grand Avenue Construction

Beginning Monday Grand Ave in Mt. Pleasant will be closed from Monroe St. North, including the closure of the Mapleleaf Dr. intersection. The Mapleleaf Dr. intersection will be closed from just West of the Frontage Road on the East side of Grand Ave. to the East side of North Wohlleber. Baker St. & Grand Ave. intersection will be open this, Friday, afternoon.
All semi traffic should use the Winfield Ave. East to Iris St. intersection or West on Winfield to Broadway entering town from the North on Grand Ave. All semi traffic entering Mount Pleasant on Washington St. from the East should turn Right onto Iris St. and go North on Iris St.to Winfield Ave. and then turn Left onto Winfield Ave. and continue on Winfield Ave. to Grand Ave. Semi traffic entering Mount Pleasant on Washington St. from the West should turn Left at Jefferson St. and continue on Broadway St. to Winfield Ave. and then turn Right at Winfield Ave. and continue on Winfield Ave. to Grand Ave.
The Frontage Road on the East side of Grand Ave. will remain open to traffic for North and South bound traffic. There will be interruptions to traffic on June 26th or June 27th on the Frontage Road North of Baker St. while Mike Nelson Concrete pours mainline on Grand Ave. North of Baker St. to Winfield Ave. The Baker St. & Grand Ave. and Winfield Ave. & Grand Ave. intersections will remain open to traffic. All Factories and Businesses East of Grand Ave. should alert all of their deliveries or shipments of these closures. All semi traffic is urged to stay out of the work area it would be much appreciated if all semi traffic on Mapleleaf Dr. would not come West beyond Harvey Rd. with the exceptions of deliveries to the Businesses on the East side of the Frontage Road. The Mapleleaf Dr. intersection will reopen with temporary surfacing to traffic for East & West bound traffic by July 3rd. Crews will continue working on Grand Ave. from the RR Overpass to the South side of Mapleleaf Dr. installing storm sewer and grading for paving.
