Mt. Pleasant split with Ft. Madison in Southeast Conference softball at Maple Leaf Field, Panthers won the opener 5-0 and dropped the nightcap 6-3. Jena Stukerjurgen pitched the shut out win. Hattie Leichty and Leslie Taylor led the hitting with 3 hits each.
In game 2 Sammi Goble suffered the loss in the circle, she did go 3 for 4 at the plate with a double. Panthers are 6-11 overall and 1-3 in the conference race. M.P. plays at Wapello tonight in JV and varsity action that begins at 5:30 p.m. a change in start time from 6 p.m.

The Little Tigers Youth Football Camp will run at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant June 17th thru 19th for athletes entering grades 1-5. Spend some time with Tiger head football coach Tom Parkevich along with his staff and some of the Tiger players as they teach you the early fundamentals of football and team sports. The camp runs from 9-11 a.m. each day, each athlete should come to camp in shorts and t-shirt and can wear cleats if they have them and please bring water or sports drink for breaks. Cost is just $40 for each participant, if you have questions call coach Parkevich at 385-6382.
The Iowa Wesleyan College Tigers’ cross country/track teams are selling IWC XC/Track apparel as a fundraiser in order to get some warm up/practice gear that each student-athlete can keep as his/her own. They would like to have your support of the program by purchasing this apparel and wearing it with the Tiger Pride!!
The white t-shirt is $15, the black long sleeve is $19, and the grey sweatshirt is $31. With each item purchased, $8 goes directly to the program to help the student-athletes buy the “Player Packs.”

As part of their 2013 fundraising effort, Team Southeast Iowa and Tailgating for Crohn’s & Colitis is having the 3nd Annual Tailgating for Crohn’s and Colitis charity event at Deerwood Golf Club in New London, Ia. This year Team Southeast Iowa for Crohn’s & Colitis is making the event bigger and better! They will kick off the event on Friday, September 13th, 2013 with an 18-hole 4 person best shot golf tournament.
