More Than $1.75 Million for Airports Across Iowa

Five airports in the Second District will receive a total of $1,753,451 to make improvements. These funds come from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) grant program.

Specifically, each airport will receive:

Clinton – $613,796 to build a new terminal building to replace to old non-ADA compliant building;

Mt. Pleasant- $203,515 to construct a new equipment building to house the new snow removal equipment;

Ft. Madison – $258,300 to reconstruct the deteriorated access road;

Southeast Iowa Regional Airport (Burlington) – $299,840 to acquire land for approaches;

Newton – $378,000 to expand the existing runway.
