Taylor Holtkamp Crowned 2013 Lee County Fair Queen

17 year old Taylor Holtkamp was crowned last night during opening ceremonies of the Lee County Fair in Donnellson. Taylor attended Holy Trinity Catholic Schools and is the daughter of Mike and Diane Holtkamp. First runner up is Rachel Kempker. Holly Stauffer was second runner up and voted Miss Congeniality by the other contestants. 14 year old Sarah Tweedy, the daughter of Matt and Sarah Tweedy was selected as the Junior Queen and will assist the Queen with her duties throughout the fair. First runner up is Eryn Anderson and second runner up is Olivia Hoenig.

Also during opening ceremonies, Brenda Mohrfeld was recognized for her service over the last 15 years at the Lee County Fair manager. Lindsey Lampe is the new manager. A new tradition was started last evening…from now on the fair will begin each year with the ringing of a bell donated by the Ivan and Elsie Roth family. Ivan and Elsie have been active fair board members, their son Les continued the tradition and their grandchildren have been busy 4H’ers.
