HENRY COUNTY CONSERVATION’S
ANNUAL NIGHT HIKE
October 3, 2013
6:00-7:30 p.m.
Oakland Mills Nature Center
This year’s theme will be A Night Out and skits performed by Iowa Wesleyan College students will focus on food chains. There will be a talking mushroom, a skunk disguised as a bear, and even a live owl! It is appropriate for all ages. Educational and fun– not scary. Easy walk on solid surface begins in front of the Oakland Mills Nature Center. Kids must be accompanied by an adult but adults need not be with a child. Properly supervised groups welcome! Groups will depart every ten minutes, with the last one leaving at 7:20 p.m. Reservations not necessary. Kids can register for a prize but must be present to win. There will be treats and activities in the Environmental Education Classroom at Oakland Mills Nature Center. A free program open to the public. Rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the skits will be performed indoors at the Nature Center. Note: This event will continue to be toward the beginning of each October.
