Chamber executive vice president Kiley Miller wants to know what Henry County needs in the way of housing. He talked to the county supervisors Thursday morning about supporting a professional comprehensive market analysis of housing to discover the real and/or perceived needs. New London city officials have already agreed to have the analysis done and Mt. Pleasant is in favor of being included. The supervisors indicated they would also financial support the study and put it on next Tuesday’s agenda for a vote Miller is waiting to hear from Winfield and Wayland. If an analysis is done of the entire county the cost would be somewhere around $18,000. Stay tuned for the KILJ Tuesday morning Breakfast Club when we visit with Miller about the importance of the analysis and the impact of available housing on the Henry County economy.
