TD&T Financial Group, P.C. has released an audit report on the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities. The Utilities had total revenues of $10,614,838 for the 2013 fiscal year, a 2% increase from the prior year. The revenues included $10,591,661 of charges for services and $23,177 of non-operating revenues.
Expenses totaled $9,236,808 for the 2013 fiscal year, a 6% decrease from the prior year and included $6,377,540 for the power, pumping and treatment plant, $1,374,083 for transmission and distribution, $1,364,182 for general and administration and $120,503 for interest expense. The decrease in expenses is primarily due to a decrease in rates charged for purchased power.
