Lucille “Cellie” Rohdy Boyd

Lucille “Cellie” Rohdy Boyd, 95 of Mount Pleasant, Iowa passed away 11:50 p.m. Monday October 28, 2013 at the Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Born September 1, 1918 in Farmington, the daughter of Louis C. and Mary D. Anderson Rohdy.

Survivors include her sister Eva Kirchner, four nephews Roger (Charlotte) Loges, Gale (Laura) Loges, Jonn (Patti) Kirchner, and John (Lois) Rohdy. Five Nieces Carol (Rodney) Sturdivant, Marilyn (Dean) Gerdes, Ellen Margaret Mishra, Mary (Glen) VanPelt, and Jeanne Willson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Blanche Loges and Joyce Weaver, one brother Conrad Rohdy, and one nephew David Kirchner.

Cellie was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Mount Pleasant. She was a graduate of Farmington High School and she worked as a Service Representative for Contel Telephone Company at Mount Pleasant where she retired. She enjoyed playing golf and duplicate bridge. Cellie was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 31, 2013 at the Scmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with the family meeting friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday November 1, 2013 at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with Reverend Debora Sowers.

Burial will follow in the Primrose Cemetery near Primrose, Iowa.

A memorial has been established for the Primrose Cemetery.
