Centerville defeated the MPHS-JV football team 26-21 on the Big Reds field last night.

AREA HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS TONIGHT:

VOLLEYBALL:  The Mt. Pleasant Panther volleyball team with a 20-4 record and coming off a championship performance Saturday in the Burlington Tournament  will travel to Washington tonight for Southeast Conference action.  Burlington at Clinton, Notre Dame at New London, West Burlington at Cardinal, Central Lee at Fairfield Maharishi, Columbus Community at Waco, Danville at Van Buren, Fairfield at Ft. Madison, IMS at L&M, Lone Tree at Wapello, Mediapolis at Pekin, WMU at Highland.

CROSS COUNTRY:  Mt. Pleasant runs at Williamsburg, Ft. Madison, Keokuk and Washington will be running in the Washington Invitational.

It’s playoff time in Major League Baseball, coming up tonight Cincinnati plays at Pittsburgh 7:07 p.m. in wild card action, Wednesday Tampa Bay will play at Cleveland.

 

Inclement weather for both race fans and racers forced the postponed of the Midwest Performance Quads, Bikes and Side By Side Challenge at  34 Raceway Saturday, September 28.  The races have been rescheduled for this Saturday, Ocrober 5 with some time changes.

Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m., grandstands at 2:00, practice 2:30 p.m. and racing begins at 4:00.

Grandstand admission is just $5.00 and kids 10 and under are admitted Free.
