Mt. Pleasant Middle School football teams wrap up their seasons tonight.  The 7th grade team entertains Ft. Madison, while the 8th graders play the Bloodhounds on the road.

IWC volleyball hosts Greenville at 7 p.m. 

AREA HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL:  Davenport North at Burlington, West Burlington at Van Buren, Cardinal at Danville, Central Lee at Harmony, L&M at Waco, WMU at Wapello.

VOLLEYBALL SCORE FROM LAST NIGHT: #3 ranked New London wrapped up the regular season by sweeping Harmony and Maharishi, the Tigers are now 35-6 overall and 8-1 in the league as they prepare for tournament time.


Only 1 KILJ area high school football team is ranked in the top ten of the A.P. poll this week, Mediapolis is ranked 5th in class 2A, Carroll Kuemper Catholic is #1 in that class.  Class 4A is topped by West Des Moines Dowling Catholic, Sioux City Heelan in #1 in class 3A, Iowa City Regina Catholic leads class 1A, Inwood West Lyon is #1 in class “A”, EHK-Exira leads the 8 man football poll.


In Major League Baseball, NLCS action had St. Louis playing the Dodgers in L.A., the Dodgers won the game 3-0, the two teams play in L.A. again tonight with first pitch at 7:07, St. Louis leads the series 2 games to 1.

ALCS is tied 1 win apiece for Boston and Detroit, game 3 in Detroit 3:07 p.m. Today.
