Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, invites the community to celebrate the official reopening of the recreational level of McKibbin Hall on Friday, December 6 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Due to the generosity of donors including members of the IWC Class of ’63, the lower level of the men’s residence hall has been completely transformed. Besides the traditional offerings of billiards and ping pong, a storage room has given way to a home theater, complete with comfortable seating, overhead projector and balcony seating on comfortable couches.
Iowa Wesleyan is dedicated to promoting issues of sustainability, thus many materials used in the project are recycled building materials, including booths from a local restaurant, a countertop from the Chadwick Library and seats in the theater. Popcorn and soft drinks will be available at the reopening, and prizes will be awarded every 15 minutes to those drawing lucky ticket numbers at the door.
McKibbin Hall is located on the southwest side of campus. Parking is available in the south parking lot across the street from the Howe Student Activity Center.
