The 11th ranked Mt. Pleasant Panther girl’s basketball team rolled over Ft. Madison in a Southeast Conference game played Friday night in Panther Gym by a score of 61-22.  Taryne Shull had 14 points, Kelsi Phipps scored 13 and Natalie Ita added 12 to lead M.P. to their 5th win of the year and improved their conference record to 3-0.

Ft. Madison exploded for 23 points in the 3rd quarter Friday night to erase a 5 point Mt. Pleasant lead and capture a 51-38 win in the Hound-Dome.  Panthers fall to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the Southeast Conference.  8th ranked Ft. Madison is 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

High School wrestling Friday night saw Mediapolis go 1-2 in the Clash National Dual Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota.  The Bulldogs beat 41st ranked West Fargo North Dakota 38-24.  Then ran into #2 ranked Oak Park River Forrest and lost 57-3, 48th ranked Vacaville, California beat Mepo 43-24.  Today Mediapolis will wrestle 3 more duals.

The West Burlington-Notre Dame-Danville duals were wrestled Friday night with Keokuk coming out the winner 5-0, L&M was 2nd at 4-1.

The 3rd ranked Iowa Hawkeye wrestling team beat 16th ranked Purdue 30-3.
